It has be a little over a year since my dad was diagnosed with colon cancer. It seemed like yesterday when I got a phone call from my mom about dad undergoing an emergency surgery right before the CW rehearsal. I didnt know how to react and broke down sitting in the audience during rehearsal before I decided to rush back from UBC to the hospital. The past year had been really exhausting, stressful and at times very depressing as it added additional weight for our family, especially my mom, when we have to make up and do our best when dad was going through the chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatment. I am very happy and thankful to say that as of today, my dad is cancer free now!! :D Thank you to everyone (friends, family, teachers, colleagues etc) who has been supportive, patient and encouraging throughout the past year. I am also thankful to my family and relatives for being supportive as well as my friends who have been patient and listened whenever I felt down. It really means a lot to me to have a community who is willing to support others when times are rough and the sky is dark. On a positive note, its time to step forward and make a leap towards the future waiting with a smile :)
