It has become a tradition since I left the Army to invite my brother Stephen who lives on his own, to Christmas Dinner, or Boxing Day dinner or just dinner which happens to fall between Christmas and New Year, whenever he can fit it in. He is also invited by various other members of the family as we all like to know he is not on his own and is at least consuming something other than liquid from a tin. This year he has decided to treat a friend who also lives alone. He has bought a cooked chicken and lots of extras and Stephen has taken it upon himself to make sure his mate is the one not missing out at this time of year. And so a new tradition will no doubt start :)
