It has become obvious the gunman holding the siege in Martin Place is NOT a terrorist. This is a poorly planned siege with all the elements of a terrorist act missing. The fact the he is a Muslim should be secondary. He is a disturbed human being. Remember Martin Bryant, Port Arthur. Remember Julian Knight, Hoddle Street and Wade Frankum, Strathfield. All committed much worse acts than has been committed today and they were NOT Muslims. Today is wrong, the armed man is wrong but I felt sickened when I saw redneck idiotic bogans on TV screaming out anti Muslim insults. You pricks are just as bad as the bloke committing the siege. Lets keep a lid on things. the man in the siege is f**ked up regardless of his beliefs. While the media are calling this an act of terror, they would do well to remember that terrorism came to these shores in a horrific manner in 1788 and started on a campaign of death and destruction that has equaled any depravity seen on this planet to date. Keep your thinking in perspective folks. This siege is an isolated incident and it is NOT condoned by 99.99% of Muslims.
