It has become so easy to blow things out of proportion because of race AND scare people into giving up on their fundamental freedoms and piece of mind because of several factors. These factors rest within ourselves, not the media, not corporations and not the government. There is no big, spooky, unseen, conglomerate, controlling us and brainwashing the public into committing acts of stupidity and violence. The media, corporations and government follow our lead. They respond to what we give them to work with. From what we eat, to what and how we view anything on any medium, the M.C.G (media, corporations, government) only gives what they perceive as what we want. Take politics. Fifty-Five percent of Americans vote during a general election, and out of those fifty five, half are politically polarized to vote one way or another, but what about the rest of the country? Some don’t trust government (stupid), some don’t believe in government (foolish), or they just don’t care (no comment). What infuriates me the most about these intellectual giants is the fact that these are the same people that complain the most and loudest about the ills of the country. So when our leaders see that the only people participating in government are ideologues that can be easily swayed by empty rhetoric, they give us just that, and if you don’t like it, TOUGH, because if more of us were to get off the streets, become informed on who are leaders are and what they are supposed to do for this country, a good majority of AMERICA’s problems would vanish almost overnight as oppose to getting worst…..Merry Christmas.
