It has been 13 years since that fateful day in 2001 that we were taken off guard by extremists and our homeland was attacked. On that day, we lost over 3,000 American citizens that were just going about their day, trying to support their families. Now, some of you may not have supported our involvement in Iraq or Afghanistan because you felt lied to by our government. I understand that, trust me. I have been involved with the conflicts in both countries for the past decade. I dont do it based off the initial premise given when we entered Iraq. I do it because of, in defense of, the souls we lost on 9/11. That is my foundation for continuing the good fight. Too often I hear Bring the troops home and Its time to end the war. Well, by bringing the troops home you are inviting the enemy to bring the fight to your doorstep. The enemy is relentless in their pursuit to attack our way of life. They are not going to stop because we have decided to go home. If anything, it will empower them and strengthen their resolve. Seriously, think about it! By ending the war in this country you are inviting the enemy to fight in your own. We stand and fight, here and now!! We fight until the war is won! Just because we are tired of it doesnt mean it is over, not now, not ever. So, when you think it is time to stop this war, think about the people that perished 13 years ago. Have their deaths been vindicated? I dont think so. Dont let their deaths be in vain. Continue the fight until the war is won. I am going to end this with a quote from Edmund Burke; All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing
