It has been 5 months since the Inequity in Breastfeeding Support Summit. The planning committee has continued to meet to work on the Community Action Report (coming soon!) as well as talk about our next steps. The summit was a collaboration of several organizations as well as individuals. Since the Summit it has been made clear to us that formalizing our partnership as well as the connections made at the Summit is essential to this work. So with that we are thrilled to announce the formation of a new non-profit the Collaborative for Breastfeeding Action and Justice. We are still in the baby stages but excited about our role in creating breastfeeding equity. More information to come on membership, how you can be involved, Town Hall meetings (starting early 2014), merchandise and our next Summit (2015). Thank you for your support!
