It has been a busy few days since I announced my departure as AD from the University of Hawaii. Ive been overwhelmed by all of your well wishes, text messages and phone calls. This great college athletics fraternity that Ive been blessed to be part of, athletic directors, conference commissioners, coaches and other athletic administrators, has been wonderful in their messages of support and understanding. This profession is a wonderful experience but it also takes it toll on your family life. Hearing from my mentors, some of the best ADs in the business, saying Were here for you is a wonderful feeling. Hearing from my UH student-athletes with their well wishes and thanks is a very heartwarming feeling. Im not sure yet what my next step will be but I look forward to the next adventure life brings. Mahalo to my friends, colleagues, UH coaches and UH student-athletes. You are the best.
