It has been a challenging few weeks, at times hopeful and at other times painful...as is the season of pruning. The LORD is chipping away that which holds us back from growth and flourishing in Him... all the pride...all the entitlement...all the bruised parts of us that lead us to reacting out of hurt rather than responding out of peace and security. It is not comfortable. I realize as I review a lot of messages in the natural and in the Spirit, that I am not the only one facing this season. Whats MOST important is to remember that we serve a GOD that LOVES us, He is for us not against us. As a couple dear friends (without talking to one another) confirmed, His rod and His staff, they comfort me. Well...a shepherds crook is also used to steer and guide the sheep as well as protect from a variety of outside interference. What is also important and I want to encourage us all in is to remember that although it seems like the enemy is behind all this pain and discomfort, the enemy is actually only trying to turn the heat up and take advantage of an already compromised area that the LORD wants to address and heal...starting with putting ourselves into alignment with Him and then we can repair our relationships, more to His glory. It is actually GOD who set His plan into motion and has been waiting for us to yield and trust Him in a deeper way through the unknown; yeah, the enemy will throw mud and missiles your way (whats new); but when he accuses you, you will more than endure, you will persevere and perseverance builds character and you will be better for it, all by His grace alone (not by your accomplishment or pride), and all to His glory.
