It has been a depressing year. For all the hope that has been around us, it looks so down swing in so many ways. Tourism is down, harmony is taking a beating, the economy does not seem to be so exciting as expected. But yes, we have to stick together, we have to be one. I have always believed that Goa is special, and that we Goans will show the way to people around us. Today, as we cross the New Year, it is so important that we remain together, as ONE, and take forward the dream of our motherland. Wonderful people like Varun Carvalho, Vasco Alvares, Mayuresh Khanvte, Sunila Muzawar, Hema Sardesai, Vinesh Iyer, Darryl Noronha, Jeroninio Almeida, Ricardo Pinto Rebelo, Ashok Bajaj, Deric Rebelo, Rene Barreto, Angie Rosario, KR Sreenivas, Inacio Antonio Gonsalves, Bevinda Collaço, Savio Azaredo, Cyrus Todiwala, Adarsh Toraskar, MC Raj Author, Jan A Bostock, Claude Alvares, Arturo DSouza, Jose Vincent Gomes, Dias Bismarque, Hansel Vaz, Nalini Elvino De Sousa, Goans Worldwide-Jane Rodrigues, Mary Silveira, Cynthia Fernandes, Nigel Britto, Remo Fernandes, Hiram Raj Kamal, Gautam Mukerjea, Oscar De Sequeira Nazareth. Rohan Govenkar, Sneha Usgaonkar, Unnati Singh, Carol Placido Tayong, Sanjeev V Sardesai and so many others that I have surely forgotten are friends who can take this dream to another level just by the sheer power of UNITY, love, brotherhood and all things that only God can give us. Power to our Political class, people who have led Goa, we need to pray for them for sure, whether we are for them or not, it hardly matters. Blessings to Manohar Parrikar, Vishnu Surya Wagh, Ramakant Khalap, Vijai Sardesai, Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, Narendra Sawaikar and other men and women who have given their lives to doing things for us. May they have the wisdom to take all this further, and of course, the biggest prayers to my family, my sister Rita, my brother in law Desmond, my two beautiful children Zenisha and Nihal and our extended family. Humble thanks to Shaeen Gomes, Liz Gracias, Edson Martins, Mansi S Kumbharjuvekar and others in our wonderful team, they make things work for us at @goa forgiving! May all of you mentioned above, and others, do have a great Year full of Peace, because, when Peace is there, everything is there! And of course, since the Panjim Bye Elections are around, may our Lord give wisdom and foresight to the electoral hopefuls, Sidharth Kuncalienker, Surendra Furtado and Aires Rodrigues so that whoever wins can make our city the best across the world. May God bless us all.
