It has been a great venture visiting many musical instrument manufacturing facilities over the years. Many of the builders have worked at the plants for decades. Very dedicated and proud people. To meet the ladies who make marimba mallets by hand with needle & yarn are true artists. Also the (1) man who does the majority of painstaking (and dangerous) work on a specific type of popular snare drum that requires him to practically wear a hazmat suit 8 hours a day. It really puts Spirit into the musical instruments! Or to have a bass guitar builder insist on using quarter sawn necks on his basses & wont sacrifice quality though there is a cheaper way out... These things make me really value what the instrument builders have done so we can enjoy quality organic musical instruments for years to come.
