It has been a hard day with hearing details of the game plan from 3 different surgeons. They said surgery will be at least 8 hours but have allotted 24 because it is a major surgery. Until they get in there and see if the cancer is into the liver or just pressing against it they dont know if part if it will need to come out or not. It will be a big deal to remove a portion of it and will be a surgery in itself. The same goes for intestines if there are tumors that require portions of intestines be removed they will do a resection. Hopefully they can scrape it away from everything and will make for a easier recovery. The incision will be from pelvic to rib cage then over at top and bottom to allow them to look thoroughly for any tumors they can see. Depending on how long surgery last and what they find he may have to be put in ICU for a few days. I have been on the verge of panicking all day but then I think of how far God has brought him and I can pull myself together again. The surgeon said Treton has done much better than they had expected with all the chemo treatments. The chemo worked much better and results were greater than expected. When this all began the doctors had thought he would require an ostomy and now that is not even an issue!!! We are fortunate to have an amazing family that has been there for us without ever having to ask. I can think of so many more things to Praise The Lord for thru this cancer journey. It has been six months today since we found out he was sick. Thanks to many of you for helping we have been able to pay our bills and have food on our table. We are so blessed yet so undeserving. Tomorrow we will be doing lots of praying and thanking The Lord for all our blessings as we wait. I hope everyone that reads this will do the same and you too will feel so unworthy. We serve an amazing God and I know he will bring Treston thru these tough times!
