It has been a long day.. want to let you know the latest on the senior Chihuahua we took in yesterday. We have named him Pappy and he is still at Cornerstone. He has a broken mandible and his septum has been shoved over. We suspect he was kicked in the face. He came in eaten up with fleas and missing most of his hair. Thankfully, all the fleas are gone and he is on antibiotics for his infected skin. He has a horribly infected mouth and rotting teeth. He is so very pitiful ,but at least he doesnt have fleas crawling all over his frail little body and hopefully the antibiotics will help as well. On Monday we will come up with a plan of action. We have a precious long term foster family willing to foster hm. For that we are grateful. Pappy is not fixed and it saddens me that his life has been one of neglect and abuse coupled with his adding to the over population problem which will result in others ending up like him. I will visit him Monday and get some more picture to post. I thank all of you who have donated. In spite of the abuse we deal with daily in rescue, it is the loving hearts of people like you that allow us to have hope for mankind. Prayers for Pappy.
