It has been a long standing tradition since at least the Victorian Era for a Ghost story to be told each Christmas; This tradition leapt to the BBC in 1971 with A GHOST STORY FOR CHRISTMAS, an annual series of specials adapting stories by the pre-eminent Edwardian ghost story writer M.R. James. It ended in 1978, but was revived in 2005 by the BBC and continued hence. Last year saw an adaptation of another MR James story, this time written & directed by Mark Gatiss, co-creator of SHERLOCK (and yes, Mycroft on the series). So now that the sky is dark and thee snow is on the crowd. Gather around the computer screen and watch The Tractate Middoth youtu.be/o1HCkAQj-WE
