It has been a roller coaster kind of day... We knew Jacob and Matthew would be traveling today to France, and we would get to talk to them before they boarded their planes. We waited all morning for Jacob to call because he had to start his looooong flight to Lyon at 11am from Salt Lake City (MST) 1 EST. He did not call us until 12:30ish our time. He got to Chicago around 4:30 our time, and was supposed to fly to London 6:10 our time. His flight was delayed for over 2 hours so he is going to miss his connection in London. He was already going to be traveling a long time. Leave slc at 11am Monday and get to Lyon 11 am Tuesday. Who knows when he will get there now!! Hope he gets some rest on the flight over. Matthew left slc at 7:15 our time and will fly straight to Paris. They were both excited to enter the next phase....still a little concerned about the language barrier. But both have used the wrong English words (synonyms) when writing us the past few weeks. Which may not be unusual for a lot of kentuckians...but they very rarely used them incorrectly before. (Jacob said he was not ALOUD to do something....)They have been so immersed in French that they have not spoken English very much. While we were talking to Matthew he said it was the most English he had used in a while. Anyway...both are in the air and flying over the big pond tonight!
