It has been a very looong summer for me, and a real roller coaster ride. On July 5th I had an accident and bashed my bad knee trying to haul my sorry self up by my good knee. Used an all natural pain patch and suffered a systemic allergic reaction to it that lasted 12 days of itching. July 13th at 3 am, I went to answer Mother Natures call and got out on the wrong side of the bed and ended up falling backwards causing a concussion, neck and shoulder muscle damage and bumps, bruises and contusions. We were on eminent baby alert for 10 weeks and were blessed with a full term baby girl on Aug 22nd. September 9th she suffered seizures, an Intraventricular Hemorrhage and strokes due to a blood clot in her brain and was 80 miles away in the Galisano Childrens Hospital. She came home after 8 days and is on a long term care program. I was a single mother of 5 children for those 8 days at the age of 63! Needless to say, my summer, though it did find some sewing and quilting projects completed, was not as productive in my sewing room as I would have wanted! Im working on 2 Christmas themed preemie quilts that I hope to finish this weekend!
