It has been an interesting and painful Winter for anyone in the U.P. I was waiting for Spring like a kid on Christmas. I spent more time on the vise than ever before, prepping for the 2014 clients and any situation on the water. Just as Spring started to finally grace us with her presence, I received an unwanted gift... a broken left fibula. I had to cancel many trips around the trout opener because of high water and poor conditions. I was able to crutch/hobble/limp my way to a few Steelhead while scouting streams. A few more weeks and Ill be able to continue my impressive run of; snagging myself, losing my headlamps, falling while crossing the big river and getting stung by various wasps, hornets and other assorted creatures from the U.P.
