It has been brought to my attention by several businessmen that they are unable to obtain foreign exchange at the local commercial Bank. This means that the importers of food cannot pay their bills and the foreign suppliers are threatening to withhold supplies. Is the Government aware of what is happening? Is there a shortage of foreign exchange at the Banks or is there an uneven distribution of what is available? If there is who is there to call the Government to account? Nobody! Now, you may see the need for constitutional reform that will bring the Government of the day under the power of the people through a Parliament elected on the basis of proportional representation.
