It has been fascinating and one hell of an armchair ride. A good job I have been on holiday for the last two weeks or Id have got no work done. Congratulations to all the determined riders whove made it so far and strength to those still on the road. A big thumbs up to Mike Hall and the team for setting the whole thing up. Thanks to those responsible for starting this group too. I am just a bystander and I know that many of you have family and friends in the race. It has been moving to read some of your emotion-filled posts. 14 days are almost up, some guys still have many roads to travel. I have niggling concerns for the dots that no longer move. Where are these people? Are they OK? Ian Oliver, John Bakewell, Nick Stiles, Ellie Solomides? The spirit of the race has been truly remarkable and Im certainly inspired to sign up, should it be in Europe and during August again in 2015. Plans are already being hatched in my brain. Chapeau to all involved! Your journeys have each been amazing.
