It has been fun revisiting some of my older quilts and seeing the range of different techniques I have tried. The quilt is called Fire in the Sky, and I made it in 2006. I drew the design up on a quiet day at work, then had to figure out how to divide it up into sections to enable it to be machine pieced. I pieced it all except the red circle in the centre of the fire. I machine quilted it on my little Husqvarna. (I dont know why the photo of the back of the quilt shows up as quite small.)
