It has been nearly a year since the Deeds suicide sent shockwaves throughout the entire S.W. Virginia region and perhaps the entire state and nation. The real tragedy about this is that the wrong lessons have been learned. However, before I cite that, I would like to know if a full autopsy of Gus Deeds has been totally released for public review. It is important that the location and placement of bullet entry be revealed. I had a good friend who committed suicide with a pistol. If he had committed suicide with a 19 to 26 rifle, I would not have immediately accepted it.
