It has been nearly three months without a barn now. The loss has been challenging, a bit like a divorce or death in the family. The farm has become the legacy, something to leave behind so it has taken on a life in itself. But we continue to carry on. This weekends theme was painting..the white picket fence and porches need it annually, the pavilion needed stained, and it time to repaint the interior of the farm house. Meanwhile, the flock helped mow the lawn. We are reseeding the feed lot which gets over grazed during the winter. The spice gardens are being replanted, and we are working on the landscaping now so the farm will look nice for visitors.
