It has been noticed by many that individual rights are taken away regardless of what party holds office. No one is more baffled or annoyed by this than rank and file Republicans and Democrats who think theirs is the party that stands up for the rights of the powerless. Perhaps a look at progressives and neoconservatives can explain why many think there are not two parties dominating the political landscape, but one ideology of control with two camps competing for control, both of which are indifferent or even hostile to your individual liberty. I vote Republican because the Democrat Party has always been about enslaving humans, and cannot be saved. Those parties which wish to adhere to the Constitution ( Constitution Party, Libertarian Party etc.) have been systemically blocked from achieving their goals. So I vote Republican.
