It has been over a month since my childhood hero and mentor as lifes animator has passed. Although the life of Robin Williams has been greatly celebrated over the last 6 weeks - as it rightly deserves, and should continue to be - I cant help but feel like the greater issue surrounding his name this summer has been masked over. Depression is a serious disease that can leave you feeling empty and helpless no matter how many people you make smile. It is often those that are the first to jump to the aid of others that are the last to seek help when needed themselves. This is my public notice that any friend, person or even facebook contact (that might not remember how I ended up on their daily feed), that needs help through a situation or just needs someone that can listen, I am there. Please remember that. Darkness only lasts until someone helps you to open the blinds. Even if you didnt think that window existed, it does. ~We all deserve to smile~
