It has been said before, and it will have to be repeated time and time again because we are, after all, human. The SaveMOUMcamps social media is run by a small group of individuals representing a larger group who are interested in the future of camping and retreat ministries of the Missouri Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. I (Brittanee Jacobs) am a firm believer in the freedom of speech. Therefore, this page is not censored in any fashion (except if there were cases of profanity or harassment, so thank you for refraining thus far). Now, some may disagree, and you know what? Thats great. Im glad you do. You have the right to have that opinion, and in this country you have the right to voice it. There are many comments on this page and on blogs and elsewhere which relate to the camping and retreat ministries situation with which I dont agree. Some of these are by my family and closest friends. Others are by strangers. But, that does not cause me to unfriend them on Facebook or stop talking to them. I attempt (and sometimes fail) to voice my disagreements calmly. So, I encourage everyone to think before you speak (or in this case, post). I also encourage those individuals who have unliked the page because they have been upset by posts by others to reconsider. The SaveMOUMcamps page strives to present factual information, share encouraging scripture, and post valuable photos with incredible stories.
