It has been said that the pen is mightier than the sword. Words have a power that is completely undeniable. Words can build wondrous works, the formation of the strongest nation on the planet was caused by the constructs of words, and the conviction of patriots moved by a belief in those words. Alas, words can also be a destructive force tearing down walls of friendship and destroying relationships. Remember, a word is like a bullet; once uttered, it cannot be called back. Like bullets words can leave wounds that fester and can cause a gangrenous affect on the heart, mind and soul of their target. Be careful what you say to a person. Too often in my life have I seen the last words spoken to a loved one were words of anger and derision. Too often there was no way to apologize and the damage done completely irreversible.
