It has been seven years since I first donned my red toga, that was during the Baccalaureate Mass. I was excited for many months before graduation to end school and start work. But that time I was sitting inside the Abbey Church, my heart was full of apprehensions. The beauty of the church which had for four years of college been refuge did little to pacify the raging storm within. I vividly remember how I rushed out of the chapel after the mass to the CAS Chaplains Office sobbing like a child. I cannot be stopped. Inside me was the thought that I am soon leaving a mother, my beloved San Beda. That was when Ate Glo gave me a statue of Our Lady of Loreto. I told her before how I wanted a copy. I didnt know she was keeping another one to given to whoever graduate first in the batch. I cried all the more but I knew things will be fine. Going back I recall how I never really left go of any mother for i will always be son to San Beda and to Mary, Our Lady of Montserrat. Despite my imperfections, I am always yours! Ronald O.
