It has been uplifting and poignant to read all the loving testimonials for Rocky today. Id like to add a quick one; when he discovered that I live in Lisbon Falls, Maine (where Stephen King went to high school), he emailed me to inquire as to whether I might have discovered any of his old high school writings from forgotten school periodicals. Wed traded emails concerning Kings work, him always politely asking if I found anything new for him. I got to meet him for the first time at the World Horror Convention in New Orleans. By that point he was not speaking much, but when I introduced myself the recognition was in his eyes, and I found myself humbly apologizing that I still had not found that elusive treasure he always seemed to be seeking. And now I would give anything to be able to say I had. He was truly a great man.
