It has certainly been and continues to be an anxious time, as nearly every household in our congregation has been affected by members trying to get home or waiting for some to make it home. The sharing of information across Facebook and other means has been important in keeping us connected and helping as we are able. Nonetheless, it remains important not to venture from home unless absolutely necessary, though efforts of get our loved ones home remains high priority. I have been checking on some of our most vulnerable members and ask we all continue to reach out in this way. Thankfully, though we have had folks stranded overnight, we have no report of injuries. Know that Cherokee County Fire Chief Tim Prather has given authorization for anyone who may be stranded on the road to use any county fire station as a place for shelter. cherokeecountyfire.org/findyourstation.cfm You can search and stay in touch with loved ones who may be in shelters by registering at the American Red Cross Safe and Well website: redcross.org/find-help/contact-family/register-safe-listing Please continue in prayer for the many that are affected. Yours in Christ, Harden
