It has come to Mullaways attention that under the Standards for the Uniform Scheduling of Medicines and Poisons (SUSMP), hemp seed oil must contain less than (or upto) 50mg of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) per kilogram of oil to be excluded from the standard. This equates to a total THC content of 0.005% for hemp seed oil. The Drug Control Section of the Office of Chemical Safety at the Department of Health recognises the same threshold for import control, whereby if hemp seed oil is imported with a THC content of less than 0.005%, then no permit is required for its importation. As the Mullaways Cannabinoid Tincture contains only 25mg of THC per kilogram of Tincture it does not fall under Schedule 9 of SUSMP regulations and is therefore not illegal under these regulations.
