It has come to my attention that a school in our system is entering SLOs (pretests) as daily grades so the students would take the tests seriously. As an educator and informed parent, I question this flawed logic. The whole point of a pretest is to find out what students know. It is not to punish them for what they have not been taught yet. I have already addressed this concern with the school and I am awaiting a response. I just want other parents to be aware. We can be heard and get this corrected.
