It has come to my attention that my post regarding the 2016 NAC - TopicsExpress

It has come to my attention that my post regarding the 2016 NAC qualifications may have hurt someones feelings. That makes me feel terrible & was not my intention. I did not intend my post to be AKC bashing. I absolutely loved all 4 of the NAC events Ive attended & enjoy AKC agility! I do not think that their decision was made to force us all to pay for more trails... I do not think it was done with malicious intentions at all. I simply believe that a better alternative exists that would more fairly examine the skill/speed/consistency of a team & not be as hard on exhibitors that would like to compete in a second venue &/or do not have the resources/finances to compete that often since some areas do not have as many trials available. I also did not intend to convey that I believe most or all of the teams that attend the event will have to trial too often or that they did not deserve the opportunity to be there. I simply meant that the point system does allow for this to happen & that makes me sad for our sport. I believe that agility is about having fun with our dogs, but I also like to have yearly goals... NAC has been one of them. It probably wont anymore & that isnt meant as a jab at AKC... it simply means I want to be realistic about the number of trials I can attend & I do not want to qualify for NAC at the expense of quitting USDAA. I hope that my opinion is heard (even though I understand I am only 1 of a large number of AKC exhibitors that count). I hope I can be heard as voicing an opinion rather than complaining or belittling anyone elses journey.
