It has come to my attention tonight that there are teenagers going door to door in a rural area of middle Tennessee collecting items for our rescue. We do not solicit door to door nor do we encourage this, especially with children or teenagers. Certainly we have had neighbors ask neighbors if they have old towels, blankets, toys, etc....but we would never encourage anyone to walk door to door as it simply is not safe (and nothing makes me crazier than strangers knocking on my door!!!).
