It has come to my notice that the Nigerian Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has registered the All Progressive Congress (APC)- which a product of the merger of the leading opposition parties in Nigeria- this action of INEC is commendable and I wish to salute all the actors in this successful merger, especially His Excellency President Goodluck Jonathan for providing the right atmosphere. This registration will give the re-election of President GEJ more credibility. However if the merger is to just to ensure that power shift from one region to another or just about President GEJ, it will not last long. My advice to the proponent of APC is that they should wait till 2019 when President GEJ would have completed his 2nd term.
