It has now been a year since the devastation occured from Hurricane Sandy. In my own mind, I believed things must be improving for so many who were left without the necessities of life from this storm. After all, that is what we do as Americans, care about the suffering of others. We have long extended help to disaster victims all over the world, because we feel their pain in our hearts. Unfortunately for those affected in New Jersey, help still has not arrived. Apparently, and I really do not know the whys or wherefores concerning this report, 640 billion dollars, with a B, has been appropriated by the Federal Government to New Jersey - but Governor Christy is not using the money to answer the constant calls from his charges for help. It is being reported that very, very few have recieved assistance. Most are being ignored and forgotten. Their calls to the Governor remain unanswered. What is up with this? It breaks my heart to think people have been left behind in this devesation and are now about to face another winter without repairs to their homes.
