It has now been two months since my operation and the installation - TopicsExpress

It has now been two months since my operation and the installation of the pacemaker. This device keeps my heart beating at 60 beats per minute, no matter if I am sleeping or exerting. Beyond a glitch a few days out (read the post of June 3rd, below), everything is functioning quite well. I am relatively energetic, still maintaining the weight loss of 30 pounds, and recuperating ss need be. This week I start a course of IV (intravenous) chelation therapy in order to remove any plaque build up in my arteries and aorta. Subsequently, any obstruction in the arteries will be flushed away, enabling me an even greater strength and energy level. I am excited to begin this treatment! During this lat two months I have been in contemplation of two significant factors in my being alive: 1) YOU. My life is now owed to the People. I am alive only because of the significant financial donations you made to cover my medical bills...as these had to be paid up front prior to any surgery and hospitalization. You folks came through wonderfully. Those contributions, as well as all the love, prayers and well wishes, have moved me to tears and the reluctant acceptance that maybe people really do like me :-) 2) Facebook. Both of the GoFundMe campaigns that were put together to help me cover my medical expenses were put out there only on Facebook. So it was through the sole medium of Facebook that the monies were generated. Now, I have been one who kinda sneered at Facebook previously. Guess what? I can do so no longer. I am in awe of Facebook as the vehicle for social connectedness and action. Dast I say this? I owe my life to Facebook. I am well. I am happy. I am appreciative. Thank you! ~Jade Wahoo Grigori
