It has once again come time to find the fastest, highest and strongest performances of men and women on Mondo as the Finnish national championships take place this weekend in Kuopio! For Roaring Lions this entails an excellent chance to advance their standings in a tight pack, as there is a wide array of events on the lineup with myriad of Lion points up for grabs. Just look for the Sport of the Day and you will find them! The beginning of the track season in Finland has arguably been the best in a decade and with the European Championships in Zurich around the corner, we can expect to see both international level results and tightly fought battles. Will the Finnish record holder and Zurich hopeful Nooralotta Neziri fend off her hungry and fast approaching contenders Matilda Bogdanoff and Ida Aidanpää? Will London bronze medalist Antti Ruuskanen get his game face on and grab a ticket to Zurich or will he continue to tumble? Can the Cheetah of Finnish track Jukka Keskisalo find his -09 form and position himself as a viable contender for Zurich? Lions partial to the plight of underdogs should consider Erik Back in today’s 400 meter final for men as well as Katri Mustola in the same event for women, also tonight. Pick your favorites, find your way to the Den and let your Roars be heard all over the savannah!
