It has taken nine years, three curricula, two stressful house moves, countless late nights, buckets of tears, and more mugging up on ****** new government education initiatives than I care to think about; but today I finally got my first permanent teaching post. I will be teaching two and a half days a week at a local catholic school whose pupils are culturally and ethnically diverse, and whose teachers care passionately about the holistic child. In the context of living in Aberdeen, it could not be a better fit. I am overwhelmed, and very happy.
