It is 10:15 pm on Saturday March 29th. I just got home and knew I needed a few minutes to unwind before bed.... I sat down and glanced at a picture of Mama and realized she has been gone 6 months today. The profound loss I feel is still tender. I guess the milestone depends on what side of 6 months you are on. Six months ago I lost my Mama, my daughter in law was diagnosed with throat cancer, my step daughter was diagnosed with Graves disease and my best friend had a recurrence of breast cancer. Today I still miss Mama. My daughter in law is in remission. My step daughter is adjusting medications. My best friend is undergoing chemo. Their battles have not been won yet but the darkness is lighter. Thank you God for your unwavering presence.
