It is Election Day in Belle Isle. I cannot comment or talk about the election, as I am on the Canvassing Board, per our citys Charter, which means we count the absentee ballots and early voting, and the tally when the polls close tonight, and certify the election on Thursday. Here is what I will say. This has been the nastiest election I have EVER seen in a municipal election. I am up for re-election next year, and will NOT run a negative campaign regardless of who my opponent(s) are. I will focus only on my own accomplishments and track record, and stay true to who I am. What I have seen going on in this election for an unpaid seat was just horrendous. I am glad it will be over in 23 hours.
