It is Gods word that does convert, quicken, comfort, and build up, or, on the other side, wound and beat down.The apostles did not preach traditions of elders like the scribes; nor mens inventions.They preached the pure word of God. The more purely Gods word is preached, the more deeply it pierces and the more kindly it works. I believe it is not about who speaks the word of God but its all about the Word of God and the one who listens to it with the true love of God. Anyone who believes in the Lord God, depends upon Him, loves Him, and believes he has authority to do any good thing in the name of Jesus Christ and has confidence in the One who created the heavens and the earth, he will do the works He has been doing, and he will do even greater things than those. If we resist the devil by faith in Christ, he will flee from us; Luke9:49-50. But if we think to resist him by the using of Christs name, or His works, as a spell or charm, Satan will prevail against us as it did to the seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest. Acts1:15-16.
