It is RARE that I share another photographers photos on my page. Ben Goode from Earth Art Photography here in SA captured this stunning image on the first night of the fires. Ben, along with myself, have been the victims of some terrible abuse over the past few days for posting images of the fires. What we do as photographers is capture life, fun, sad, and sometimes even horrific. People such as Ben and I do so with respect and complete uderstanding of what the authorities have to do in order to save life and property. BUT what we also do is help to raise awareness of these siutaions, and also, believe it or not, try and cpature the beauty of nature in all its ferocity. When you look at the media they capture the story which often means they get in peoples faces and capture what they think is important, which fundamnetally means will sell advertising. So you dont tend to get beauty from them. This is natures light painting. And Ben, you are a guru my friend. And to the haters and trolls out there, haed over to your local news channel, they have what you want. Peace. Denis
