August is hot, however, due to its significance to Ideato traditions, it is the most festive month amongst folks here and home. August is the month most towns in IDEATO observe their New Yam Festival; a tradition as old as Igbo land. Yam is the king of crops, a measure of Igbo mans greatness and strength. It is revered and till date, celebrated. Today, two great Ideato towns, Urualla and Akokwa will lock horns in a soccer tournament. Last year, Urualla traumatized Akokwa with a 4/2 win. That defeat cast a negative spell among Akokwa indigenes. Today, they would struggle to juggle a win to cleanse the blemish. They are ready to rumble and my question the Urualla Mbiagu in Houston is: are you ready to stand up for Urualla? If you are, come out and be counted.
