It is Saturday here in the Philippines, December 13, 2014. Sixty-eight years ago my life began in the bed room of a small farmhouse in Johnson County, North Carolina. I was born to two wonderful Christian parents. My life has been a journey of great blessings and many trials. As I look back there are some Red Letter days in these 68 years. There is the the day when I trusted Jesus as my Savior. ( Aptil 1, 1965 ) There is the day I married the love of my life, Doris Davis. There is the birth dates of my two children. There is the day our son went to be with the Lord. These are but a few that come to mind. Through the good, and there has been much, and the bad, and there has been much, Gods promises have carried me through 68 years of life. I have found , His grace to be all sufficient. The night I trusted Christ as my Savior, God gave me a verse that has been the number one promise that has seen me through the good and bad times of life. This verse will be our Prayer Promise for this week, ! Corinthians 10:13, There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able: but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it. The verse implies we will have trials in this life, and surely all of us can relate to the the fact of burdens and the trials of life. However, we are promised that trials are common to all men. That is everybody is hurting. This truth should help us live compassionate lives and seek to bear one anothers burdens. The promise is also that God will never allow us to go through more than His Grace can see us through. This promise has been my strength through many hard times, and will continue to my stay in the years to come. This can be your promise for this week and for the remainder of your life. God is faithful!! God is Good!! God will never leave us nor forsake us!! I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I DO know Who holds tomorrow!! God bless each of you and thanks for the many birthday wishes.
