It is Saturday night again and it is my pleasure to announce my message for tomorrow.The subject is JUST PLAYING THE PART . We sometimes get so carried away with actors and actresses who play their parts so well, and they are given awards for just playing the part. There are people who forget that it is just a movie, and attempt to do what they saw on TV and many people have injured themselves, some even killed, it has become such a problem that some stunts seen on TV will have a caption that says Do not attempt this feat why? some people cannot tell the difference in real and fiction.if this ended at the movies it wouldnt be bad, but people have become so skilled in real life just playing the part until it is hard to tell who is real. Relationships that never should have been, end up in tragedy because someone was not sincere, they were just playing the part. Many people have lost their lifes saving by a flim-flam artist just playing the part. The worst thing is when church leaders are in the religious business for self gratification, church members put on good acts to be well spoken of by men, Jesus says they already have their reward. The problem is that so many unsuspecting innocent Christians have been led astray by people playing and their faith and worship of God never brings the satisfaction, the joy and the peace they deesire because of someone just playing the part, God wants us to have a vibrant faith, a satisfying spiritual life, and a closer walk with the Lord. as Jesus said In John 4:24 God is a Spirit, and they that worship must worship him in spirit just playing the part will never accomplish your goal but when we stop playing games the church will begin to accomplish its goal of redeeming a world to God.
