It is Water World Day and people are meditating and praying for the healing of all waters globally at 3pm. You can honor in your own way or find a local event. Once Starhawk after a ritual in downtown LA, wanted us to hike to a river to pray over it. I was excited about visiting a close enough river, imagining hiking to a secret place close enough to downtown, wondering where this could be? I was disappointed to be lead to a bridge over looking the RIVERBED, the LA river!!! Disappointed, because this river is so depressing, surrounded by concrete! But what struck me was she said, this is the very reason we have to pray for places like this.... they need Healing!!! I went to Cherry Beach. It is dotted with oil islands that are beautified to look like nice islands. Always saddens me to know their are so many out there along what looks like large ships I imagine connected to its production. There I just offered a gentle song.
