It is #WeddingWednesday here at the Gardens and our recent bride, Mckenzie shares her love story with us: Let me start of by saying: my love story with my husband is in my way the ultimate fairy tale, just not one you would read from a book. I met him when we were in middle school in our band class. I played the flute and he played the drums. Little did I know he had a school boy crush on me that lasted through high school. You see my husband wasnt a jock or a nerd, because he was liked by almost everyone (I was the one person who found him to be kind of annoying). He was the ultimate nice guy but he was definitely the class clown. We never really spoke much; he just admired me from a distance. Our first date was more or less a way for me to prove a point to him that a girl could shoot a gun better then a boy could. Not only did I kick his butt and hit the target bulls-eye every time but I also made him admit that girls are better than boys. That was the day that changed my life. Whatever I dished at him, he dished right back and it rendered me speechless. I came home from that date saying I just met my future husband and two months later we were engaged. I believe things happen for a reason. We had ample chances to date in middle school or high school but fate wasnt ready. I think we had to grow up to appreciate each other. Now I can honestly say I am married to my best friend and soul-mate. When things are right your heart just knows and he makes me feel that way everyday. I live a fairy-tale, not one that comes from a book, but from memories that will last me a lifetime. We wish Mckenzie and Michael a lifetime full of happiness!
