It is a disgrace to the Kalenjin community especially the Kipsigiis,Nandi and Terik sub tribes to continue rustling their neighbours(Luo) cattle,what a shame? Is this being digital? Is this being Jubilee? Is this still an acceptable tradition? Rustling,burning houses and killing people? Dont tell me about revenge! A year ago,along Kisumu-Nandi border of Chemase-Miwani arose the menance that led to that kind of tribal skirmishes,it escalated to our neighbouring village,rustlers invaded a homestead which had had a funeral just two days before,drove away cattle and burnt down the homestead killing two little kids one of them was epileptic! What a tragedy! Loss of lives,property and animals! Were the culprits nabbed? Are they known? What has the government done? Who is supposed to own cattle? The First Lady should take her marathon to this border!
