It is a good man that knows his limitation a quote from Clint Eastwood in one of his Dirty Harry movies. Well I guess that statement applies to me. Most of you know that recently I purchased a American Pistol Kit from Jim Chambers. I also purchased two videos on making Flintlock Rifles and Pistols. I learned a tremendous amount from both videos but I think the most important lesson was that I dont have the confidence in my abilities to do this build. So as not to ruin what I know will be a beautiful pistol I have asked Barton Copenheaver to build this kit for me. Barton has been a supporter of mine and great help in teaching me about flintlocks since last March when I started. His work is right up there with the best in the business and I cant wait to see the finished project. I will stick to making powder horns and bags and leave the guns to the experts. Barton, thank you.
