It is a light bulb moment. It is a slim glimpse. An inkling, a hint, and implication. It is a small cause of wonder, as if our struggling sometimes exhausts the world sufficiently that it throws us a useful curve. The moment when what weve been searching for without success presents itself, easily, obviously, and of its own volition. Synchronicity is here, in this field, abutting these woods. We meet it with our willingness to explore the ambiguous, to allow significance to set our steps on new paths. Our shadows, shaded by ravens and the signs that warn of bears. Our festival is a welcoming. Because you never know at what moment the universe you live in will meet and briefly merge with music and our art, with our stories. With our sharing of ideas, hopes and the faint nightmares pacing the perimeter; with our sharing of food fro these shores, and of drink and good talk. This could not happen anywhere else because everything is specific. We bask in the brief sun side by side.
