It is a matter of public record that the reason I ultimately joined the Labor Party was the emergence of Pauline Hanson and the divisive and hateful comments she made as a Liberal candidate. I remember being angry at our then Prime Minster, John Howard, for being so slow to act. Her comments today demonstrate that she has not changed her views. I think politics should be about uniting our communities, not dividing them. I will be putting Pauline Hanson – One Nation last.
